The chandelier made from Glimmers is a unique suspended light fixture created for the historic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Lišany near Rakovník. It combines contemporary design, robotic 3D printing, waste PLA, and traditional Czech craftsmanship.
100 kg of waste PLA has been given a new form and function
25 Glimmers.ver tubes (60–80 cm, 15 cm in diameter)
2 brass hoops

Designed and crafted specifically for the church in Lišany, whose history dates back to 1360
Designing lighting for a sacred space requires a high degree of sensitivity. A chandelier should not be a technological spectacle. Its purpose is to blend naturally into the historic interior, enhance its atmosphere, and become an integral part of it.
This project demonstrates that robotic 3D printing and circular materials can work effectively even in historic architecture—when combined with high-quality design and traditional craftsmanship.
Approximately 100 kg of waste PLA has been given a new lease on life thanks to 3D printing. The project demonstrates that circular materials can be incorporated into even the most challenging architectural and design projects.
Glimmers is a fusion of light, design, technology, and Czech craftsmanship.
