MadUse is an original table lamp from a limited series designed by MgA. Vojtěch Vydržel exclusively for Plastenco. Its organic shape resembles an underwater jellyfish or soft drapery, creating a gentle play of light on surrounding walls. The lamp combines a 3D-printed PETG shade with an aluminum neck and a concrete base available in two versions – smooth or contour-textured.
MadUse represents the fusion of modern manufacturing, sustainable design, and a distinctive visual signature. Each piece is designed to be easily disassembled, repairable, and recyclable.

“When designing the MadUse table lamp, I drew inspiration from the unexpected connection between the underwater world of jellyfish and academic studies of drapery. The resulting design deliberately balances between two opposing sensations — familiarity and mystery.
The silhouette of the lamp emerged from a search for a form that evokes the impression of a floating organism, something foreign, perhaps even extraterrestrial, while the gently rippled surface of the shade recalls a piece of fabric casually draped over a chair — a detail intimately familiar from everyday life. Through this combination, I aim to create a space for perception that is not bound by categories but opens up new ways of seeing both form and function.”
