Reborn Design

Reborn Design is an eco-design challenge for product designers and architects that is not only about theory, but also about practical education and entrepreneurship. The founders of the platform are the technology firm Lavaris and us, the product ecodesign studio Plastenco.

Why was the platform created?

• We give recycled materials a higher added value through design.
• We offer solutions for companies that aim to meet sustainable ESG goals.
• We are looking for practical application for secondary materials and their use in practice.
• We educate the next generation of eco-designers.

The third edition of the competition took place in 2024. In total, almost 200 students have already participated, mainly from the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague and Mendel University in Brno.

Reborn Design’s partners include Sazka, BAT, Skanska, LIKO-S, Reknihy, PwC, MIDA Consulting, CIRAA, the Prague Innovation Institute and the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce.
